Elijah, a basketball prodigy from St. Louis, faces challenges on and off the court. He contends with a rival, Mark, and is drawn to Maya, who values his character over his skills. When hope wanes, he meets Gizmo, an enigmatic preacher and former star who mentors him. Gizmo guides Elijah to glowing, magical "armor" pieces, each granting unique skills. Meanwhile, James, desperate to support Elijah, gets involved in a dangerous sports betting scheme to fund Elijah's entry into a life-changing AAU tournament.
